St. Barnabas students are offered the latest technology in order to help them become 21st Century Learners.  With iPads and Mimio teaching systems in classrooms starting in Pre-School, teachers are able to incorporate apps and educational programs into their daily curriculum which enable them to teach each student in a way customized to work best for his/her own unique skills and educational needs.

St. Barnabas is a certified Digital Citizenship school, and has implemented the curriculum into Computer class for Pre-School through 8th-grade students. Digital Citizenship teaches our students responsible use of computers and technology as well as social media. The curriculum is designed to empower students to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in the digital world.  Our objective is to provide students with the knowledge to be a good digital citizen and build on that knowledge throughout their years at St. Barnabas.

Here is the technology currently offered:
  • St. Barnabas launched the first 1:1 iPad program in the area for the 2016-2017 school year.  Students in Grades 6-8 all have their own iPad which, through the use of educational apps, complement the curriculum.
  • All students (Pre-School-8th Grade) visit the Computer Lab, which offers 30 networked desktops, at least once a week, under the instruction of a full-time Computer Teacher.
  • All classrooms are equipped with networked desktops, a ceiling mounted projector with surround sound, a Mimio Teach and a document camera to enhance our curriculum
  • Several carts, each offering 30 laptops or iPads, are available for classroom use upon teacher request
  • Each teacher is provided his/her own laptop and iPad
